Inspiring the next generation of young thinkers, makers & artists!
What We Do
-
Through The FN Lab workshops we aim to expose young children to both local and global contemporary artists; and develop their understanding of the history of art in our region and beyond.
Each workshop is designed to encourage self expression through role play, open ended art, and the discovery of different techniques and materials.
We aspire to build confidence in the next generation, to encourage them to learn about wider world concepts in a creative way and to help them express themselves.
With a growing number of children attached to a screen either at school or home we believe in the power of children making things with their hands and the positive impact it has on their development.
-
The FN Lab also organises special outings called ‘Art Safaris’. These are field trips to galleries and cultural institutions that aim to familiarise young artists with different art spaces and practices; raising their awareness to the richness of these professional settings.
‘Art Safaris’ use fun interactive methods to guide participants through each exhibition and culminate with a discussion at circle time, and a small playful activity at the very end of the session.
-
These are worksheets and pamphlets are designed for exhibitions that guide children through art spaces in a fun and creative way; inspiring them to connect and engage with the art.
The FN Lab also can be commissioned to create Teachers Education Packs that support teachers to learn about art themes or specific art shows.
